DO I NEED TO GO TO THE GYM?
No. You can do your workouts from home using whatever equpitment you have or just your own bodyweight. Trust me you can do a lot with just your body.
HOW DO I KNOW IF I'M DOING THE EXERCISES PROPERLY?
The app that I use to deliver the programmes has video tutorials & descriptions of every exercise for you to follow. If you're still unsure you can send me a video of you doing it & I will send you my feedback. As long as the movement is being performed safely & it's working the intended area it doesn't have to be bang on perfect, everyone will look slightly different due to limp length etc.
PS Don't feel a wolly recording yourself in the gym. I a time where people take selfies in Aldi is normal, filming in the gym is perfectly acceptable :)
WHY IS THIS DIFFERENT TO SLIMMING WORLD/WEIGHT WATCHERS...?
Weight watchers & other slimming clubs can work great for some people by giving them some structure don't get me wrong. However my issue with them is the lack of education, empathy, explanation & HUGE focus just on the scales. Their might, actually will be weeks the scales don't move or even go up due to a number of different reasons. Especially for women. This does not mean you haven't lost any fat. I also I feel like they can create a poor relationship with food choices.
Anyway this wasn't supposed to be a rant about slimming clubs :) with my programme I will explain how no foods are off limits, the importance of protein, why the scales might not move & the PRINCIPLE behind all fat loss. Once you understand that it makes things a lot simpler. Which by the way is creating a calorie deficit.
We will focus on building a life around your goals not giving your life up while you diet only for it all to go back on once you start living again. Plus the training aspect. Resistance yraining is the best thing you can do for your health. I will show you everything you need to take away the confusion.
I DON'T CARE ABOUT FAT LOSS, CAN I JUST DO IT FOR THE WORKOUTS?
Of course. I want to leave you in a place where your training is just part of your life & even you crave the exercise:)
I will teach you how to strucure a session, how to split your week according to available time, variations & alternatives fo rexercises, how to progress or regress movements, how to progressively overload to keep improving & how to get to know your body.
I ALREADY HAVE A PT IN THE GYM. WILL THIS STILL HELP ME?
Absolutely! The level of support, accountability & advice you get from me goes far beyong what a face to face PT can give you. You might only see your PT 1 or 2 hours a week. You will have me in your pocket everyday. PLus we will be looking at more than just how heavy you're lifting & counting reps. I want to help you build routine, alter your mindset towards dietting & mak ethis the last diet you ever do!
I DON'T WANT TO TRACK CALORIES, CAN I STILL LOSE WEIGHT?
Yes, tyracking is great tool to use even just for a short time to fugure out where you're currently at but I understand it's not everyones cup of tea. We will discuss the best option for you. Every aspect of this programme is tailored to you.
I'M RUBBISH WITH TECHNOLOGY, WILL I BE ABLE TO MANAGE?
If I can do it you can haha. THe app is very easy to use & comes with prompts & explanations to do anything. Plus I acn set most things up at my end. All I need you to do is make sure you say 'YES' to notifications when it asks you.
I HAVE AN INJURY, CAN I WORK AROUND IT?
Absolutely. I can even build in rehab into your programme. Resistance training is proven to improve recovery from injury even when not directly applied to that area.
For example if you had a sprained ankle & while it was revovering you worked on strengthening the other you would get the benefits in th einjured one too.
I'M NOT IN THE UK, CAN I STILL DO THIS?
Hell yeah. That's the beauty of online coaching, you can do it whenever, wherever you are! I have clients in UK & Australia & have worked with people from the US before. The time difference can actually be a positive thing!
I'M REALLY UNFIT. WILL I BE ABLE TO DO THIS?
Yes, yes, yes! Please don't be scared. I will meet you where you're currently at with whatever you can do. You'll be surprised how quickly you progress too. And how amazing you will feel. I know it might sound cheesy & dramatic but this can honestly change your life!
I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME. HOW WILL THIS WORK?
That's ok, something always beats nothing. I will help you find 'gaps in time' & make diet & exercise as easy & enjoyable as possible for you.
WHEN WILL THE NEXT ONE BE?
I don't have a set date yet, probably September But why put off what you can do now for another 2 months?! Imagine the progress you could make by then. Trust me the only regret you''ll have is wishing you'd started sooner. I know that because it's what everyone I have worked with has said.
I'M GOING ON HOLIDAY IN THE MIDDLE, IS THERE ANY POINT DOING IT NOW?
Erh, yeah!! The whole point of this programme is to show you can still live your life & get results. How to juggle your different priorities at different times. There is always going to be a reason not to start. 'Ready' is decision not a feeling.

Most people know they need to eat less & move more but don't actually apply it. Fat loss in principle is simple, in reality not so much. We can look at the reasons behind why. And from an exercise point of you I will be here nagging you to make sure you do it for one but I want you to find a way to make it part of your life with as little friction as possible. Plus your mindset will change once you put some skin in the game & invest in yourself & you health.
